Antiques Valuation Day on behalf of Dart Sailability
Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood will be holding a special charity auction valuation
day on behalf of Dart Sailability on Tuesday, 27th October 2009, at Berry Head Hotel,
Brixham from 11:00am 3:30pm. There will be a charge of £5 for three items with ALL
proceeds going to Dart Sailability.
Dart Sailability helps many disabled people experience the fun of being afloat,
either sailing single-handed or with others. Some are becoming proficient sailors,
others just enjoy bobbing around on the water. The group guarantees to get anyone
onto the water whatever their disability and, with demand continually increasing,
hope to be able to raise the necessary funds to accommodate everyone's wishes.
As the group has expanded, the running costs have rapidly increased. Despite generous
help from local marinas the group still needs to raise approximately £5,000 per
year to cover the general running costs of moorings, insurance, fuel, maintenance,
administration, etc, making fund raising a continuous operation.
A team of specialists from Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood will be on hand to provide
expert advice on the items, including Christopher Hampton, Jethro Marles, Daniel
Goddard and Nic Saintey.
More information on Dart Sailability, which was formed in 1997, is available on
