Branching East (February 2010)

It is a year since the merging of Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood and already we are expanding Eastwards in the county of Devon into the antiques centre and market town of Honiton.

We have re-opened the long established auction room in Dowell Street, Honiton, with the first auction of antiques, collectables, silver and jewellery being held there on 16th February 2010.

Expansion of West Country Fine Art Auctioneers and Valuers (July 2009)

Richard Bearne, Chairman of Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood, announced on Friday, 3rd July 2009 that the fine art auction house would be re-opening the salerooms in Dowell Street, Honiton in January 2010 when they are vacated by Bonhams.

Fine Art Auction for The Chestnut Appeal in Exeter (May 2009)

Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood will be auctioning over a hundred pieces of donated art at our Okehampton Street salerooms for The Chestnut Appeal for Prostate Cancer on 10th May 2009. The sale will be on view to the general public on 8th May 2009 and 9th May 2009.

Ethelbert White (1891-1972) was a painter, illustrator, wood engraver and poster designer, born in Isleworth, Middlesex. He attended St John's Wood Art School and became friends with Mark Gerter and CRW Nevinson and was a regular exhibitor at the RWS and RA.

When Robert Lenkiewicz died on 5th August 2002, there was work in progress at seven different studios on and around The Barbican in Plymouth.
